The reading guide button allows the user to have a reading guide that will appear on the y & x axis. (Think of it like using your finger to guide you eyes over the words you should be reading on a book).

Summit Montessori School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution governed by a board of trustees.

Kristina Davis

Trustee since July 2014

Krissy is a Certified Public Accountant and partner in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Risk and Financial Advisory Services practice.  She has over 20 years of experience providing financial and operational risk services to clients in the financial services industry.  Krissy has also been actively involved with the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley serving in a number of leadership roles over the last ten years including her current roles as Trustee and member of the Community Impact Committee.  Krissy has a BS in Business Administration from Stonehill College.  She and her husband, Evan, have two daughters at Summit.

Josh Grossetti

Trustee since July 2013

Josh is Director of Information Technology for the Town of Hopkinton.  He has over fourteen years of experience in strategic and operational IT leadership, budget preparation and financial analysis, project management, contract negotiations, and procurement; plus significant experience with hands-on information technology implementations.  Josh has built-out and led IT Teams for a number of Boston-area companies.  Josh graduated from Northeastern University with an AS in Management Information Systems and a BS in Finance and Accounting management.   Josh and his wife, Pamela, live in Wellesley with their two children, both Summit alumnae. Josh serves on the Finance Committee and as Chair of the Buildings & Grounds Committee.

Robin Jenkins

Robin Jenkins was elected to serve on the Summit Board of Trustees in 2021. She has been a member of the Summit community, since her daughter was enrolled in the Beginners program in 2013.  Robin also is an active member of Summit’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Community, assisting each year with the celebration of Black History Month.  She is an audio engineer for WGBH Educational Foundation, teacher for The Berklee College of Music, musician and composer.  On occasion Robin provides audio/visual assistance with video documentation of Summit events and has a special interest in the maintenance and expansion of Summit’s building and grounds in addition to DEI initiatives.

Kate Salley

Kate is Assistant General Counsel at Ameresco, Inc., a leading renewable energy and energy services provider headquartered in Framingham. Kate has over 10 years of experience counseling companies on corporate governance, securities and related matters. Kate is an active volunteer for the Bryn Mawr College Alumnae Association, currently serving in roles focused on development, admissions and identifying and evaluating candidates for leadership roles in the Association. Kate received her AB from Bryn Mawr College and her JD from Boston University School of Law. Kate resides in Framingham with her husband, Scott, and her son, Stephen, who attends Summit. Kate serves as the Board’s President and Chair of Summit’s Governance and Capital Fundraising Steering Committees.

Summer Shaud

Trustee since July 2019

In addition to her involvement at Summit, Summer is an active volunteer in several other community organizations, including the Framingham Adult ESL program, Metrowest Immigrant Solidarity Network, and the Framingham Democratic Committee. Summer also brings to the board her experience working at a varied range of small non-profit institutions, including six years working as an Associate Pastor in a local United Church of Christ congregation. She holds degrees from Harvard College and Harvard Divinity School, and lives in Framingham with her husband Dan and their two children, both of whom attend Summit. Summer serves on the Development Committee.

Alex Stephen

Trustee since July 2019

Alex lives his passion by helping people transform their lives. He guides and empowers them to reach their goals and fulfill their life’s purpose, through Business/Life Coaching, Motivational Speaking and his TV Show “Live Your Passion”. He graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA). A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he built a 25-year career in business finance where he held titles such as Vice President/Director in Corporate lending. He has worked in public and private companies such as Deloitte & Touche and BankBoston.

He has one grand daughter at Summit. Alex serves on the Development Committee.

Jessica Milan

Jessica is a software professional with over 14 years of experience managing technology projects in ecommerce, marketing, manufacturing, and telco. Jessica has held leadership roles at Yottaa, CashStar, Adobe, aPriori, and Amazon. Jessica earned a B.A. in Computer Science from Wellesley College. She lives in Concord, Massachusetts and has one son attending Summit. Jessica serves on the Buildings & Grounds Committee and as Chair of the Development Committee.

Stephanie Katz

Trustee since July 2019

With degrees from Washington University and New York University and project manager training at Harvard, Ms. Katz has been working in the field of non-profit stewardship and advancement for 20+ years. She held positions at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, Harvard University, and the University of Rochester, before arriving at St. Mark’s in 2009. Stephanie serves on the Development Committee.

Jeffrey Esper

Trustee since July 2018

Jeff is an auditor with the firm Liscombe and Parrella in Medway, Massachusetts specializing in Not for Profit organizations.  Prior to that Jeff held various management roles in the Finance Organization during his 20 years at EMC, then Dell Technologies.  Jeff began his career in finance with one of the big 6 public accounting firms.  Jeff has a BA in History from St. Anselm College and a Masters of Science in Accounting from Bentley University and has been a licensed CPA for the past 25 years.  Jeff lives in Hopkinton, with his wife Susan and his 2 daughters. Jeff serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee.

Heather Gentile

Heather is executive director of regulatory offerings for Watson Financial Services at IBM.  For more than 18 years, she has specialized in developing innovative solutions to support risk and compliance initiatives in the financial services industry.  She received her undergraduate degree from Bryant University in Business Administration and her MBA from the University of Massachusetts.  Heather resides in Framingham with her husband, Derick, and their two children, Valentina and Darin, who attend Summit.

Heather serves on the Marketing Taskforce.

Martha Torrence, Head of School

Martha has over 30 years of teaching and administrative experience in Montessori education, including serving as Principal of the Xavier University Montessori Lab School and founding/administering Our Children’s Center in State College, PA. She was most recently the Director of Toddler and Primary Programs at Cambridge Montessori School in Cambridge, MA. Ms. Torrence served on the American Montessori Society Board of Directors for 11 years, serving as Teachers’ Section Chair, on the Executive Committee, and as Board President. Martha is a sought-after teacher trainer and speaker, having presented trainings and conference sessions in 22 states and 5 countries. She has written award-winning articles on her research topic, play. Martha currently serves as Board Vice President for the Montessori Schools of MA.
