Meet the Board/State of the School Night
On Thursday, January 18, at 6:30 pm, the Summit Board of Trustees cordially invites all parents to come to an informal, open session to meet the members of the Board and to learn about/discuss the “state of the school” at this point in time.
Are you interested in learning the roles and responsibilities of the trustees? Are you curious to learn who makes up the Board? (Hint: they are parents just like yourself, as well as past parents, and members of the broader community! They are all dedicated to Summit and its future!)
Are you curious about Summit’s strategic direction for the next several years? Want to know more about the progress that we have made towards accomplishment of the goals set out in “Summit 20/20”, our now 2-year-old strategic plan?
Do you want to have the opportunity to offer input from your own perspective on the development, growth of the school?
If you responded with a “yes” to any one of these questions, then please join us on the 18th from 6:30-7:45 pm in the Marino Community Room to learn more about the role of the trustees. Make a commitment to attend by RSVP’ing here. We want to meet you and hear from you…what are your thoughts and perspectives about this wonderful “small by design” school?
We will provide free child care for Children's House and Elementary students (unfortunately we cannot provide care for Beginners) for those who register. To register, please click here.
During the evening Martha Torrence, Head of School, will briefly discuss the “State of the School”. Trustees will share their roles and respond to your questions. Refreshments will be served. Free child care is available! Please join us for an informative evening and show your support and interest in Summit, and its strategic initiatives. We look forward to the opportunity to connect.
