Marian holds an American Montessori Society (AMS) Primary classroom teaching certificate, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education. She has been a lead teacher in Children’s House for over 15 years. Marian was once a Montessori student herself, and she recognized an immediate re-connection with Montessori’s philosophy when searching for her own children’s schools. She feels passionate about Maria Montessori’s beautiful, concrete classroom materials, as well as Montessori’s respect for the child’s creativity and independence. Marian strongly believes that time spent exploring and engaging with nature hands-on is essential to every child’s sense of curiosity and confidence.
