David Mingolla

Upper Elementary Assistant Teacher

David began his journey at Summit in 2023. He has been teaching the past three years – first as an Assistant Teacher at Venerini Academy in Worcester, then as the 7th Grade English Teacher at St. John’s in Shrewsbury. As much as he enjoyed his experiences at these schools – including coaching the boys soccer team at St. Johns to an undefeated season! – he has found a real home in the Montessori philosophy. After a year at Oak Meadow Montessori School in Littleton, he now joins Summit ready to bring his love for teaching to its lofty Upper Elementary vaults! He particularly enjoys working with children on their writing, storytelling, and creative projects, as well as supporting them as they learn to attend to their social-emotional well-being and that of their peers.

When David’s not at Summit, he enjoys taking long walks (on the beach, in the forest), playing guitar and piano, and reading. He loves to cook and spend time with his rather large Italian extended family. You might even find him reading poetry at local open mics in Framingham, once he finds out where the best ones are!
