Montessori in the Long Run: The World Beyond Summit
While the day-to-day benefits of your child’s Montessori experience may be clear and obvious to you, the longer term benefits may not be as clear. You may be wondering, as many parents do:
How do our grads handle the transition from Summit into the world of next schools?
Are they well prepared for the academic and social demands of the world beyond Summit?
What are the ways in which our grads excel?
What are some of the challenges that our graduates face in next schools, and how well are they prepared to meet these challenges?
What part of our students’ Montessori experience has the most enduring value?
If you are asking these excellent questions, please join us this Wednesday, March 1 (6:30-8 pm) for a stimulating evening. “Montessori in the Long Run: The World Beyond Summit” will feature a panel composed of Summit grads and alums ranging in age from 14 to 26. The panel’s presentation will be guided by our guest facilitator, Joyce Nett, Summit Trustee and current Middle School Teacher at Cambridge Montessori School. The panelists will share personal stories of their experiences at Summit, but most importantly, what happened next. Next schools, next challenges, and how their Montessori experiences contribute to who they are and how they approach learning and life today.
Free child care will be available for the evening’s session; please do sign up in advance by so that we can adequately plan child care staffing.
We hope to see you there!
