Summit Montessori School is an independent Montessori school for children twenty-one months to twelve years old. Beautifully housed in a 19th century historic mansion, Summit Montessori is conveniently located near Routes 9, 90 and 495. Students from more than fifteen MetroWest communities learn in an intimate atmosphere where they feel safe, cared for, respected and intellectually challenged. Summit's personalized education, from preschool through elementary, celebrates both individuality and community.
Starting in September 2013, a Beginners' Program will open for children ages twenty-one to thirty-six months. A vibrant Children's House serves children from ages 2.9 through Kindergarten. Older students are challenged by the rigorous individualized curriculum in Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary School classrooms. Sixth Grade graduates matriculate to leading independent and public schools.
Founded in 1996 by a group of visionary parents, Summit Montessori has an outstanding and experienced faculty of dedicated Montessori educators. Summit's individualized approach and small class sizes ensure a powerful balance between challenge and support. In addition to fostering love of learning and mastery of traditional academic subjects, Summit provides a rich foundation in social development. Each child is provided early guidance in self-advocacy and conflict resolution. Summit’s curriculum for kindergarten and elementary children includes instruction in Spanish, music, art, and physical education.
Summit Montessori offers full and half-day preschool programs, and both before and after-school care for all ages.
