Elementary Music Teacher

Summit Montessori School seeks an experienced Music Teacher to lead music classes for students from ages 6 through 12 and to further develop our school music program. The ideal candidate will be an energetic individual with experience leading choral activities, developing children’s musical presentations including work with musical instruments, and who understands the importance of integrating music into the learning lives of children.  S/he will have experience in successfully guiding children of ages 6 through 12 to deepen their music expression and musicality.    

Summit, a 21-year-old school housed in a beautiful historic mansion in Framingham, MA, currently enrolls 97 students, ages 2-12. 

Candidates must hold the minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and have experience teaching music to groups of elementary-aged students. Orff-Kodaly training is preferred.  This part time position offers competitive pay and the opportunity for professional development.

Reading Support Teacher

Summit Montessori School seeks an experienced Orton-Gillingham and Wilson trained teacher to work with children (K-grade 6) both individually and in small groups in order to support their reading development.  The ideal candidate will be an energetic and positive individual with experience in OG and Wilson tutoring, and with an interest and enthusiasm for working within the context of a Montessori setting.
