Children’s House Lead Teacher

Summit Montessori School seeks a Montessori credentialed Early Childhood (Children’s House) Lead Teacher for a full time position beginning in late August, 2017. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom leadership skills, including classroom management, curriculum development, ability to work with diverse learners, and a proven ability to work successfully with parents.  An understanding of, respect for, and love of young children is essential to working successfully in this child-centered environment.  In addition, a deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy and child development principles is a critical component of success.  We seek a motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills who values being a member of an active and inclusive school community.

Candidates will minimally hold a Bachelor’s Degree; Montessori Early Childhood certification from a MACTE accredited Teacher Education Program and experience on this teaching level are essential.  The ideal candidate will be highly motivated toward professional development, able to work successfully and collaboratively in a team approach, and will bring a sense of joy and humor to work each day!

Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience and training.

 Summit, a 21-year-old school housed in a beautiful historic mansion in Framingham, MA, currently enrolls 97 students, ages 2-12.
