Monday Morning Meeting
In our continuing celebration of Summit's 15th Anniversary, at today's Monday Morning Meeting, each student received a Summit Anniversary pencil, and Mr. E shared another piece of Summit's history with them. Ask your student what the school was before our generous founders bought it and gifted it to Summit Montessori School.
Visiting Day
This Thursday, January 26, is an Admissions Visiting Day. Parents interested in Summit are invited to come to school between 9:00 and 10:30 am to observe the classrooms at work and to have time for questions and answers with Siobhan Mahaney, Director of Admissions. Celebrate Summit! – May 12th
This spring we will be commemorating Summit’s 15th Anniversary on Saturday, May 12th, in a special celebration at the Framingham Country Club. It promises to be a wonderful evening of celebrating the community that was and is Summit Montessori School. The evening’s festivities will include a small silent and live auction, and it looks like we’ll even have dancing!
I would love to have a few volunteers help me with the silent auction. It’ll be fun, a good opportunity to meet other parents and grandparents, and not too much work. I have some ideas of table themes and would like your input and help gathering the items. If you’re interested in becoming involved, please email me or come to the weekly meetings in the basement at Summit on Wednesday mornings after drop off.
Thank you,
Jane Clarke, Co-Chair, Summit Montessori Parents Association (SMPA)

Children's House Classrooms
Those of you who follow us on Facebook know that some of our parents have been in the classrooms in the last several days helping the children to learn about some of the countries they are studying this year. Anne-Sophie du Halgouët was in CHII telling the children about her home country - France. Christina and Doug Eisenstein were in CHI helping the children to learn about Italy. Today Helen Huang visited CHII to share some of the customs surrounding Chinese New Year. These are exciting visits for the children, and we sincerely thank their families. If you would like to see pictures from these visits, please visit us on Facebook.
Finally
In keeping with their new custom in Upper Elementary - the students helped Aidan celebrate his birthday (which was yesterday), by baking him a cake. Not just any cake, but a two flavored cake in the shape of a favorite character of Aidan's - Pikachu! Happy Birthday Aidan!
